Hope this ins't too late. I haven't checked in on the board in a

make a pot to feed 5000. It's BIG pot. This recipe is pretty good
too. You will want to multiply the recipe items by 10.
Brown beef and drain. Add all ingredients and cover. Cook for 7-17
hours on medium high.
Good luck! If you try this, let me know how your customers like it.

The History of Recipes
Historians have traced the existence of recipes way back into the far past, in truth as far back into history as the ancient Egyptians, and maybe even further. Having said that, these, old records were just primitive hieroglyphic or cunieform instructions for preparing food.
Fascinatingly, the most ancient recipe in existence, according to Professor Solomon Katz, is a series of tablets in ancient Sumerian describing the preparation of bread which is then used to make a drink, quite possibly a form of beer as it is recorded as making those who drank it feel wonderful. As our culinary historical trip moves to more modern times we have a couple of interesting cookery books which date from the 1300s ; a recipe book called `Forme of Cury`, and another entitled `Curye on Inglish`. Don`t be fooled by the titles though, these books have no connection with the curry that is served today, but instead descriptions of the types of meals on the menus of the wealthy. Over the following few centuries, the upper-class families of Europe tried to serve up the most exotic banquets, and as a consequence, chefs and their recipe collections were highly sought after. Notwithstanding that, it wasn`t until the 1800s that cooking and cookery books rose to prominence. Mrs Beeton in the UK, and the equally well-known Fannie Merritt Farmer in the US, devoted their lives to assembling, trying out, and writing down recipes of the day. The introduction of television brings us celebrity chefs and the accompanying recipe books. Which pretty much brings us up to date and the internet revolution, permitting everybody to access thousands of recipes just like those on sites such as this. |
We hope you enjoy this Abilene~ Tx Annual Chili Super Bowl recipe.
