Cappuccino Bundt Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup light tasting olive oil
1/2 cup chocolate ch ips
1/2 cup chopped nuts, hazel,walnuts
1 package yellow cake mix
4 tbsp instant espresso coffee
2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 large eggs
1 1/4 cup water
1 confectioner's sugar


Directions

Prepare a 12 cup bundt pan with olive oil, then sprinkle lightly with
flour. Preheat over to 325F.

Mix chocolate chips and nuts. Spoon evenly into bottom of prepared
pan. In a large bowl, stir espresso powder and cinnamon into cake
mix, then add 1/3 cup olive oil, eggs and water. Mix slowly with
elextric mixer to moisten. Then beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Pour
cake batter over topping in pan and bake 60 minutes. Cool on rack 15
minutes, then invert pan on serving plate and cool completely.
Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.

At serving time. slice and serve with lightly sweetened ricotta
cheese, (about 2 tsp. granulated sugar mixed into 15 oz. ricotta) and
dust with cinnamon.

He also tells us how the ancient Romans were skilled in the use of many different herbs, including a few that will be familiar to modern cooks for example thyme, fennel and parsley.

Later on, in the 15th century, the Crusaders brought back many foods and spices from the holy lands, including spices like parsley, basil and rosemary. These new spices and herbs caused an eruption in manuscripts on cookery, the majority of which still exist in private cookery archives.

Over the succeeding few centuries, the wealthy families of Wesstern Europe competed to offer the most extravagent banquests, and consequentially the best chefs and their collection of recipes were much in demand. Even so, it wasn`t until the 19th century that cooking and cookery books really came of age. The Famous Mrs Isabella Beeton in the UK, and the equally well-known Fannie Farmer in the USA, devoted much of their lives to collating, verifying, and publishing the recipes of their peers.

When we get to the 20th century, recipe publications are in great demand, as a result of better eduction, people having increased spare time and having more money.

The TV revolution brought us TV cookery programs and the demand for the spin-off recipe books.

And that neatly brings us to the present day and the invention of computers and the internet, permitting everyone to access massive numbers of recipes like those on the site you are now reading.
