Ingredients

8 oz sour cream
8 oz picante sauce (pace medium or hot)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 garlic, to taste
1 lowry's seasoned salt, to taste


Directions

Mix and put in refrigerator to thicken for a day. Enjoy!

The History of Recipes

Notwithstanding that, it was during the nineteenth century that cooking and cookery books rose to prominence. Mrs Isabella Beeton in the UK, and the equally famous Fannie Farmer in the USA, spent years to collating, verifying, and writing down popular recipes of the day.

By the advent of the 1900s, recipe publications are starting to become popular mostly due to increased literacy, more spare time and having more money to spend.

The revolution that is television brought us celebrity TV chefs and the recipe books that accompanied them.
