3 dry white wine
1/2 cayenne pepper
1 onion powder
1/2 soy sauce
1/2 garlic powder


Directions

1. Mix all ingredients together. Marinate the meat for 3-6 hours

The History of Recipes

Don`t be fooled by the titles though, they are nothing to do with the spicy food that is popular today, but instead accounts of the types of food cooked for the upper classes of that time.

Later, in the 15th century, the Crusaders brought back many new foods and spices from Arab cuisine, including spices such as coriander, parsley, and basil. These new culinary innovations led to a surge in cookery books, many of which are kept safe in private cookery archives.

During the next few hundred years, the powerful families of Wesstern Europe tried to serve the most extravagent banquests, and because of this chefs and their recipes increased in prestige. Notwithstanding that, it was during the 1800s the formal cooking and recipe collections reached a high level of popularity. The Famous Mrs Isabella Beeton in the UK, and the equally well-known Fannie Merritt Farmer in the USA, spent years to collating, testing, and writing down recipes to allow everyone to enjoy them.

By the time we get to the twentieth century, recipe books are increasing in popularity as a result of higher levels of literacy, leisure time and a general increase in wealth.

Like it or not, the introduction of TV brought us celebrity chefs and the demand for the spin-off recipe books.
