Lattice-Top Chicken Bake Recipe

Ingredients

1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can onion -- french-fried
3/4 cup milk
10 oz chicken -- cooked
1/4 tsp salt -- seasoned
1/4 cup milk
1 package mixed vegetables
1 cup biscuit mix


Directions

Combine soup, 3/4 cup milk, salt, chicken, vegetables (frozen), 1/2 of
cheese and 1/2 can onions. Spread into casserole dish. Bake
uncovered at 425 for 10 minutes. Combine biscuit mix, egg and 1/4 cup
milk to form soft dough. Spoon over hot mix. Bake 20-25 minutes
more until dough is brown and risen. Add therest of cheese and
onions. Let cheese melt and serve.

When we get to the 20th century, cookery publications were greatly in demand mostly due to increased literacy, people having more free time and having more disposable income.

The TV revolution brings us TV chefs and the accompanying recipe books.
