2 cup milk
3 or 4 bananas
1 large container cool whip
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
Beat cream cheese until creamy. Add milk, gradually; add pudding,
beating until well mixed. Pour over cooled cake. Slice the bananas
over cake. Cover with Cool Whip and top with nuts.

Even so, it was during the 19th century that haute cuisine and recipe publications became really popular. The Famous Mrs Isabella Beeton in the UK, and the equally famous Fannie Merritt Farmer in the USA, spent years to collecting, verifying, and publishing recipes that were common in the better off homes of the day. The introduction of the TV brought us TV cookery programs and the demand for the accompanying recipe books.
