The History of Recipes
Written recipes as an idea can be observed far back into the far past, in fact as far into history as the Egyptians, and potentially, even further back. However, generally, these old cookbooks were just simple hieroglyphic or cunieform recipes for food preparation.
As our culinary historical trip moves to more modern times we find a couple of interesting books published in the 14th Century : a recipe book entitled `Forme of Cury`, and another, similary called `Curye on Inglish`. The titles are somewhat misleading tho`, they are nothing to do with the indian food that appears on menues today, but instead descriptions of the types of food on the tables of the rich and powerful of those days. By the arrival of the twentieth century, cookbooks are in high demand, as a result of better eduction, people having more spare time and being a little richer. |
We hope you enjoy this Chocolate Sin recipe.
