The History of Recipes
We can track the history of `recipes` back into distant history, in fact as far back into history as the ancient Egyptians, and maybe even further. Interesting though that maybe, in the main part, these ancient records were just simple hieroglyphic recipes for preparing food.
Later on, there are some books which date from the 1300s : one book called `Forme of Cury`, and another, similary titled `Curye on Inglish`. Although the titles sound familiar, these books have no connection with the indian food that we all know today, but rather accounts of the types of food served to the nobility of the time. By the advent of the twentieth century, recipe publications are greatly in demand mostly due to increased literacy, leisure time and having more money. |
We hope you enjoy this Coffee Liqueur recipe.
