8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/4 cup cocoa


Directions

Mix ingredients together well with electric mixer, then sprinkle

Notwithstanding that, it was during the 19th century the formal cooking and recipe books rose to prominence. The Famous Mrs Beeton in the UK, and the equally famous Fannie Merritt Farmer in the US, dedicated the best years of their lives to assembling, testing, and recording recipes that were common in the better off homes of the day.

By the arrival of the 1900s, cooking books are increasing in popularity as a result of better eduction, people having increased free time and having more money.
