Ingredients

1/4 cup roasted almonds
2 strip crisp fried bacon
1 cup grated american cheese
1 tbsp chopped green onion
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 tsp salt


Directions

CHOP ALMONDS VERY FINE. CRUMBLE BACON TO FINE TEXTURE. MIX ALL
INGREDIENTS UNTIL WELL BLENDED. PLACE IN SMALL SERVING DISH.

Notwithstanding that, it wasn`t until the 19th century that cooking and recipe publications really came of age. Mrs Beeton in the UK, and the equally famous Fannie Merritt Farmer in the USA, dedicated their lives to collating, trying out, and publishing the recipes of their peers.

The revolution that is television brought us celebrity TV chefs and the demand for the accompanying recipe books.
