4 tbsp butter
1 cake
2 envelopes knox gelatin
3/4 cup cold water
5 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cup sugar, divided
24 oz cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1/3 cup bailey's irish cream
1 pt whipping cream, whipped

The History of Recipes

Aspicius recounts how the Romans made use of a wide range of aromatic flavors, including some that we all recognise like thyme, fennel and asafoetida.

Later on, in the 15th century, people returning from the crusades brought back a variety of foods, spices and herbs from the holy lands, including coriander, parsley, and rosemary. These new foods and tastes led to an eruption in manuscripts on food, the majority of which are kept safe in private collections.

When we get to the twentieth century, cook books were highly popular due to better eduction, people having more leisure time and having more money.

The TV revolution gave us TV cooks and the accompanying recipe books.

And that brings us to the present day and the internet revolution, permitting everyone to search through massive numbers of recipes just like those on sites such as this.
