15 oz tomato sauce, 1 cn, or
15 oz pizza sauce, 1 cn
1 tsp oregano leaves
2 cup biscuit baking mix
1 each egg, lg
2/3 cup milk
8 oz cheese, *
2 oz mushrooms, sliced,drained,1cn
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated


Directions

* Use 1 8-oz package of sliced process American Or mozzarella

The History of Recipes

This early Roman chef describes how the chefs of Roman times made use of many herbs, including a few you will know such as basil, fennel and parsley.

Later on, in the 15th century, people returning from the crusades brought back many foods and herbs from the holy lands, including basil and coriander. These new herbs and spices prompted an explosion in recipe manuscripts, many of which are now in private libraries.

The TV revolution gave us TV cookery programs and the demand for the accompanying recipe books.
