The History of Recipes
We are able to track the history of meal recipes back into the far past, in fact as far into history as the Egypt of the Pharoahs, and potentially, even further back. However, mostly, these early recipes were just very simple hieroglyphic instructions for preparing meals.
As we move on, we have some interesting books published in the fourteenth century ; one book published under the title `Forme of Cury`, and another, similary named `Curye on Inglish`. Amusingly, these two books are not about the curry that we all know today, but instead accounts of the types of meals eaten by the rich and powerful. By the time we get to the 1900s, cooking publications are greatly in demand as a result of increased literacy, people having increased spare time and having more money. |
We hope you enjoy this Cajun Barbeque Butter recipe.
