Chili Bean Soup Recipe


Ingredients

1 lb pinto beans
8 cup boiling water
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp onion salt
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp marjoram
10 1/2 oz can beef broth
16 oz can tomatoes
1 package (1-5/8 oz)chili seasoning mx
1 cup hot water


Directions

Rinse, sort and soak beans overnight. drain and empty them into a
large pot; add boiling water, garlic and onion salts, thyme and
marjoram. Cover and simmer until beans are tender, about 3 hours.
(Don't let beans boil dry;add hot water as needed.) Spoon out 3 cups
of cooked beans to use another day in another way. Mash remaining
beans with their liquid. Add remaining ingredients. Heat 10 minutes
to blend flavors.

For the next few years, the upper-class families of Wesstern Europe tried to serve up the most extravagent banquests, and as a consequence, the best cooks and their recipes were at a premium. Even so, it wasn`t until the 19th century the formal cooking and recipe collections reached a high level of popularity. The Famous Mrs Isabella Beeton in the UK, and the equally famous Fannie Farmer in the US, devoted their lives to collecting, testing, and writing down recipes to allow everyone to enjoy them.

The introduction of the TV brings us celebrity TV chefs and the demand for the spin-off recipe books.
