    Being a pregnant vegetarian

    Hi,

Is anyone else out there pregnant and a veggie!

I sometimes worry about getting enough protein in my diet any tips!

When my friend was pregnant she was told you need 60g protein a day, but I just googled it and the WHO says 25g a day which is not very much! There's 20g in 100g of tofu, 11g in a serving of quinoa, 6g in an egg, 3g in a slice of granary bread. Egg sandwich = 12g not including the mayo - lol - so not too difficult!

Thanks for that - I do love pulses and beans so eat loads of them...
And a good egg sandwich is never to be sniffed at!

    Hi birdbird,

I just found this pregnancy nutrition test online which checks what you're eating in a day and flags any areas you might like to improve. It's quite cool!

    Hope it helps,
