I've done them all - before I was vegan. It's hard enough following plans as a veggie but it's impossible now (at least I'm eating less cake at work though!). Tried tescodiets.com which was quite good, as it has a specific veggie plan. Except for some reason sometimes the takeaway options it gives you have meat in! Have you tried web dieting? It's quite good if you're busy, esp if they have an app so you can use it on your phone.

Cut out the bad carbs and eat more protein. Bad carbs make the body retain more water so we feel bloated and podgy. Also cut out fizzy drinks and booze. Believe it or not the Harcombe Diet (which is the best diet I have ever done in terms of doing what it says on the tin) does have vegetarian options. There's also SureSlim which does work but you have to weigh everything. Do you really have to lose three stone? It sounds like you are putting yourself under a lot of pressure. Just sayin...

I'm sure you're beautiful as you are! Maybe if you just cut down on the sugary things and cheese. Badgerlover's bang on about protein. I read the other day that if you start your day with a lot of protein, your metabolism kick starts early. Haven't tried it yet, I'm always skipping breakfast

That's the trouble with being vege - most protein foods (well the ones taht are quick and easy tend to be the fattening ones! But you are right about those bad carbs - I know I eat waaay too much bread and pasta

I weighed myself yesterday and I have lost 5lbs!!!! But at the cost of my favourite cheesy macaroni! If anyone got any decent recipes that are protein, fast to make and NOT cheese, pls post them for me

Veggie thai curry with cauliflower 'rice'. Use peanut butter, coconut milk and veggie thai paste to make the sauce, and low-carb veggies (maybe also chunks of tofu), then serve on mashed steamed cauliflower, it's quite filling and the carbs are really low.

I have started dieting previous week. I used raw vegetables, vegetables soups, and fresh fruits and citric fruits juices during my dieting along with one hour exercises daily. These worked very effectively for losing my extra weight.

Hi, I'm returning to veggie-dom after my bad diet increased my weight by 1.5 stone in a year - which is loads on my 5'2" frame. So many things have loads of dairy in though, so i'm struggling to come up with health stuff beyond veggie fajitas and veggie curries...any ideas that are light on the dairy?
